Who We Are

Club Cristiano La Esperanza is a ministry center that provides for the needs of children in the neighborhood near the Managua dump (known as La Chureca).  We have a history since 2000 of ministering to these children with our school Colegio Esperanza which we had to close because of the project to move the people out of the dump.  As the dump closed in 2012 the Lord provided for us to continue in ministry to the children we have cared for all of these years.

IMG_5701The Club sits at the entrance to the new “La Chureca” neighborhood.  We provide for nearly 300 children at all levels of life.  We provide a free preschool, after school tutoring for elementary aged students, and a High School scholarship program.  Every student receives two meals a day in our feeding program as well.  We also offer sports, music and art classes for the children in the program.

Our focus in all of this is Jesus.  We feel called to serve these children.  We want them to feel the love of God and to grow spiritually even as we meet their educational and physical needs.  We have a great hope for each of their futures and trust that the Lord will provide for them.

Thank you for your interests in Club Esperanza.  We are a non profit organization and all of our activities are made possible by your donations.  We need all the help we can get.  Please donate if you feel led and pray for this work that God is doing in Nicaragua!

  2. My husband and I are wanting to come to nicaragua for a week in April. We wanted to see what needs you might have. My husband has a mechanical engineering background and I have medical background. We also wanted to see what supply needs you may have. Looking forward to hearing back from you.
